Minister Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei Highlights Progress
The UAE continues to make significant strides in housing, energy, and infrastructure, according to Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure. He praised the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program, which has issued over 90,000 housing support decisions worth AED 60 billion since its inception in 1999. Recent legislative updates have expedited procedures, enhancing family stability for Emirati citizens.
Infrastructure Development and Sustainable Energy Goals
Since the start of 2024, the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure has spearheaded strategic infrastructure projects, including road and dam developments. In energy, the UAE remains committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, with AED 500 billion earmarked for clean and renewable energy investments.
Housing Support
Al Mazrouei revealed that in the past three years, the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program has issued approximately 13,000 housing support decisions worth over AED 10 billion, reducing pending cases by 95%. He also highlighted the government’s new “Manzili” initiative, which streamlines housing services through 24 government entities, offering more efficient solutions.
Global Leadership in Maritime Transport
In maritime transport, the UAE has reinforced its global standing by securing the honor of hosting the International Maritime Day 2025. Additionally, the ministry signed an agreement with Neonautica to develop the “UAE Blue Pass,” promoting innovation in the maritime sector.
Cutting Bureaucracy and Enhancing Customer Satisfaction
As part of its efforts to simplify government procedures, the Ministry eliminated over 745,000 bureaucratic processes, reducing service completion times by 75%. These improvements have boosted customer satisfaction levels to 91%.
