Tunisia’s tourism sector has achieved remarkable growth in 2024, with revenues surpassing $2.2 billion between January and November, according to the National Tourism Office. This milestone reflects a surge in visitor numbers, with 9.9 million tourists recorded so far. Experts anticipate the total to exceed 10 million by year-end, marking a historic record for the country.

    A Key Economic Driver
Contributing 9% to Tunisia’s GDP, the tourism sector supports approximately 400,000 jobs, making it a critical pillar of the national economy. It also plays a crucial role in bolstering the country’s foreign currency reserves, further highlighting its economic importance.

    Global Recovery and Regional Competitiveness
This success comes amidst a global recovery in tourism, solidifying Tunisia’s position as a leading Mediterranean destination. The sector’s robust performance underscores its potential as a sustainable driver of economic growth and development.
