Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, announced its key partners for this year’s edition. Hosted by Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company “Masdar”, the list of partners includes the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy as the main partner, ADNOC as a strategic partner, World Wide Technology as a strategic partner, Emirates Global Aluminium and Emstel Group as supporting partners, and Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) as the opening ceremony partner.
Enhancing Collaboration for Sustainability:
These partnerships aim to strengthen collaboration across sectors during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025, playing a vital role in driving a qualitative shift in sustainable energy systems. This year’s edition, themed “Sector Integration for a Sustainable Future”, focuses on leveraging diverse expertise through a series of important events, including panel discussions and forums featuring government officials, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and youth representatives.
UAE’s Vision for Positive Change:
The current edition highlights the UAE’s vision and role in driving positive change by fostering global interaction and dialogue to build a resilient and inclusive sustainable future. His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Al Ghuwair, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy, stated that the week embodies the UAE’s commitment to finding practical solutions to global sustainability challenges.
Role of Partners in Sustainable Transformation:
His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, emphasized the importance of the strategic partnership between DEWA and Masdar in renewable energy. He noted that the week has become a global platform for supporting sustainability efforts and exchanging expertise and best practices.
Exploring Economic Transformation Pathways:
Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, CEO of Masdar, stated that this year’s edition focuses on exploring ways to support the desired economic transformation, valued at over $10 trillion, by building an economy that connects human expertise, energy, data, finance, and the environment.
ADNOC’s Commitment to Responsible Energy:
Omar Suwaina Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Office of the CEO and Sustainability at ADNOC, affirmed the company’s commitment to being a responsible energy provider while investing in low-emission solutions and new energy sources that will shape a sustainable future.
Aluminium’s Role in Sustainability:
Abdulnasser Bin Kalban, CEO of Emirates Global Aluminium, highlighted the role of aluminium in developing more sustainable societies, noting that decarbonizing this industry is a key pillar of the UAE’s National Strategy for Climate Neutrality by 2050.
