Dubai Airport (DXB) is gearing up for a record-breaking start to 2025, with expectations of welcoming 4.3 million passengers in the first two weeks of January. These figures are set to make it the busiest January in the airport’s history.
Passenger Traffic Peaks:
Passenger traffic is expected to peak on January 3, 2025, with around 311,000 passengers passing through the airport on that day. The average daily passenger traffic during this period is projected to reach 287,000, marking an 8% increase compared to the same period in 2024 and a 6% rise compared to pre-pandemic levels in 2018-2019.
Reasons for the Increase:
This exceptional performance reflects a surge in international travelers departing after the holiday season, as well as residents returning from their vacations. The increase underscores Dubai International Airport’s position as one of the busiest airports in the world.
