The UAE’s first government-owned electric vehicle charging network, UAEV, has announced the introduction of standardized EV charging tariffs effective January 2025. The new rates will be AED 1.2 per kWh (plus VAT) for DC charging and AED 0.70 per kWh for AC charging. This initiative supports the sustainability of the charging network and aims to expand its coverage across the UAE.

He emphasized the company’s dedication to adopting advanced technologies to enhance the EV user experience while aligning with the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 strategy.

UAEV is working to enhance the country’s EV charging infrastructure by expanding its network to 1,000 charging stations across urban centers and highways by 2030, supporting the UAE’s vision of sustainable transportation.
