Abu Zaabal Specialty Chemicals Company secured the top spot for profits among Egypt’s military production companies for the second consecutive year in 2024. This achievement stems from continuous factory upgrades and efficiency improvements, driving productivity to record levels.
In November 2024, the company launched new production lines for nitric acid and sulfuric acid, with daily production capacities of 20 tons and 40 tons respectively. This significant enhancement has helped meet local demand and reduce reliance on imports, aligning with Egypt’s push for self-sufficiency.
Advanced Manufacturing Capabilities
Abu Zaabal operates 30 subsidiary factories equipped with the latest technologies to produce:
- Military materials: Including cartridge gunpowder and nitrocellulose, essential for inks and paints.
- Infrastructure support: The company manufactures explosives used in construction and infrastructure projects.
This milestone reflects the Ministry of Military Production’s strategy to enhance industrial efficiency, support economic development, and strengthen Egypt’s local manufacturing sector.
